Welcome ...to the CAMHS Network in 2009!

This is a website for clinicians and managers run by clinicians - us! It's our aim to provide lots of materials to help you change your CAMH service. We have included all the book and workshop content and more. We know this works from practical experience and hope you find it useful.                                                            Steve and Ann - May 09

Main Content

This is our clinical system; now used widely in the UK and across the world. There's lots of material and it's now being updated and extended.

For the new and extended content list click here.

News

The Mental Health Foundation are currently carrying out a national survey in England of CAPA. This was initiated by the Department of Health and the NCSS after they heard of many teams that were using CAPA and finding it helpful. We are hoping for results sometime this summer

New Content

The latest presentations are now loaded on to the site. They are...

"Three example job plans"

We have now clarified the 11 key components of CAPA. These are described in the above presentation. On this page is a map of the components, a pdf file and a rating scale the CAPA-CRS. You can use this to rate your service or as a discussion point around implementation.

Newest Myth...

RISK ASSESSMENT! Choice does include risk assessment. Click here for a discussion.

There are also many other myths. If you are struggling with CAPA or really object to something in it check out the myths pages - it might be in there!
